Good Friends Make Good Libraries

Meet Richard Mathews, Barney and Farmington Library patron as well as community unsung hero. Mr. Mathews demonstrates the town's home town spirit through his use of library resources. He not only supports Barney by using public services regularly, (borrowing mystery books, using computer technology, reading daily newspapers) but also contributes by delivering requested books and movies to homebound friends and neighbors. Additionally, Mr. Mathews hosts a movie showing at the senior center on a volunteer basis.

All the Barney staff agree that every day is brighter when Dick Mathews graces the door. He exemplifies the community spirit that makes Barney a wonderful place to be.
