Your hard reading work has paid off! As a reader who completes his or her personal reading diary and makes five visits to either library, you receive a fantastic reading shirt. This shirt tells the world about the wonderful job you have done strengthening your reading skills during summer vacation. Congratulations to everyone who has earned a tee shirt! You've caught the reading bug!
Triple Play took Farmington residents on a trip down memory lane as they performed music from the 1950's through 2008. The weather was beautiful! The audience was filled with young families, seniors and people from the neighborhood. The band received rave reviews and everyone had a wonderful time.
Although this marks the end of this summer series, be sure to stay tuned for September. The schedule has something for everyone!
The Barney Library was filled with dancing bears this bright Wednesday morning, as Branch Librarian Kathy Lescoe shared teddy bear stories, fingerplays, music, a film, a teddy bear craft and a special snack for the picnickers.
Next Thursday, August 21, WOW! School is scheduled for 10:30 a.m.

The grand finale of Village Vibrations will occur on Tuesday, August 12 at 7 p.m. in front of the portico of The Barney Library, 71 Main Street. Triple Play will do a one hour musical revue of your favorite songs from 1940-present day. The lawn concert will be held rain or shine with participants taking shelter in The Barney Reading Room in the event of wet weather. Bring your dancing shoes in case the music moves you!
