Sounds Of The Big Bands Headed To Farmington


On Tuesday, April 7, at 1:15 p.m. in The Reading Room of The Barney Library, 71 Main Street, Farmington, the sounds of the big bands will be heard again, thanks to Vin Cassotta. The owner of A Touch of Jazz/Cassotta Music Agency, Vin is an accomplished lead and jazz soloist trumpet player. He toured nationally with The Glenn Miller Orchestra, in addition to performing with Frank Sinatra, The Manhattan Transfer, Ella Fitzgerald, Sergio Franchi, The Four Tops, Sammy Davis, Jr., Andy Williams and The Jimmy Dorsey Orchestra. Take a trip down Memory Lane to the big band sounds of yesteryear with Vin Cassotta.

A Celtic Harper Is Coming!


Save Monday, March 16 at 1:15 p.m. for a trip to The Barney Library, 71 Main Street in Farmington to warm up for this year's St. Patrick's Day by listening to a Celtic Harper. Julia Shrake will set the stage for St. Patrick's Day with lilting music, fascinating Celtic trivia and a wealth of knowledge about the harp. It'll be so wonderful that even the leprechauns will be dancing a jig.
