Kevin Johnson from the State Library's History and Genealogy Unit will portray a historical figure from the Civil War in the community room of The Farmington Library, 6 Monteith Drive on Tuesday, November 17 at 1:15 p.m. Mr. Johnson will read from the personal and authentic accounts of Mr. William Webb's life story. This is a compelling and thought provoking tale of one man's fight to attain freedom and respect.

Photos of Italy from North to South entertained and educated this packed audience of former and might-be travelers. Ashley Turney presented interesting travel stories and facts about Italian culture, food and beautiful Italian cities and countysides to an audience of four dozen people, thanks to The Friends of The Farmington Library.

Craig Hotchkiss, Director of Education at The Mark Twain House and Museum, did a dynamic and informative presentation on the life of Mark Twain, the history of Hartford and The Mark Twain House. The program, supported by The Friends of The Farmington Library, brought over two dozen adults to this library lecture.
