The forty-five minute program held at The Barney Library, 71 Main Street, on Tuesday mornings from 9:30-10:15 a.m., is a joyful introduction to the library. Books, rhymes, music and movement, playtime and socialization are incorporated into each class held for children 0-3 years of age accompanied by an adult.

Dads and Grandpas are important to the lives of children. Make time to take them to a library program, for such a simple investment pays great dividends!

Whooooo Visited The Barney Library?

Wind Over Wings, founded by Wildlife Rehabilitator Hope Douglas, brought four owls to The Barney Library, much to the delight of sixty people! The audience had the opportunity to meet a Barred Owl, an Eastern Screech Owl, a Saw Whet Owl and a Great Horned Owl. The program, sponsored by The Friends of The Farmington Library, covered the owls' remarkable hearing, sight, and ability to fly silently. The secrets of spotting an owl in the wild were also shared.
